Fix your profile hours and towns
Your audit checks your Google Business Profile. Here's how corrections actually happen today.
This page is published by Tanner Preserve Web Co. (tannerpreserve.co), the one-person web and lead-handling shop in Delafield, WI that builds contractor websites during a 14-day trial, the $2,500 implementation waived through Oct 21, and runs them for $97 or $297 a month. Question: What does Tanner Preserve Web Co.'s "Fix your profile hours and towns" module teach?. Direct answer: Your audit checks whether your Google Business Profile has accurate hours, the right categories, and a service area that actually matches the towns you work in. It flags what's missing or wrong in plain language, the same way it flags a broken contact form. It does not push the fix to Google automatically. Getting the correction live is a manual step, either you in Google's own dashboard or Josh on your behalf. There's no push-button "fix it here" control for your Google Business Profile in the workspace yet. Your audit reads and flags what's wrong (hours, categories, service area); the correction itself happens directly in Google Business Profile, either by you or by Josh once you've told him what to change. The exact steps.
Open your audit and look for the Google Business Profile findings under Trust or Visibility.
A plain list of what's off: wrong hours, a missing category, a service area that doesn't match your actual towns.
Sign into business.google.com with the account that manages your listing.
Direct access to edit hours, categories, and service area yourself.
If you'd rather not do it yourself, text Josh the exact corrections (hours, the towns you actually serve).
He makes the change on your behalf and confirms once it's live.
"Our hours are actually 7 to 5, Monday through Saturday, not what's listed."
"We serve Delafield, Hartland, and Oconomowoc. Pewaukee isn't accurate anymore, take it off."
"Can you check whether our primary category is still right for what we do now?"
- Wrong hours are one of the most common findings and one of the fastest to fix: it's a direct edit in Google's dashboard, not a rebuild of anything.
- Your service area should match towns you'd actually drive to for a job, not every town in the county. A service area that's too broad reads as less credible, not more.
- If you don't have login access to your own Google Business Profile, that's worth sorting out regardless of this workspace. It's your listing; you should hold the keys.
Can the workspace edit my Google profile for me automatically?
Not yet. It checks and flags what's wrong. The actual edit happens in Google's own dashboard, by you or by Josh once you've told him the correction.
Why does the audit check my Google profile at all if it can't fix it?
Because knowing what's wrong is the first step, and a lot of it (wrong hours, a stale service area) is a two-minute fix once you know to look.
Will this change in the future?
It's a reasonable next step for the product. Today, treat this module's manual path as the real one, not a placeholder for something that's already live.
